JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — A 29-year-old Jackson man has pleaded guilty to murder and received a life sentence for his involvement in the death of a disabled man in 2007.
Brian Sweet entered his plea Tuesday in the death of 22-year-old Lyneil Deshun Vaughn.
Vaughn was suffocated, set on fire and dumped behind a furniture repair store.
His smoldering body was found Feb. 21, 2007 by a storeowner. Authorities say Vaughn was wrapped in a blanket, and his hands were tied behind his back.
