BASEBALL
Third annual ECCC Fall Baseball Camp
Registration is underway for the Diamond Warriors’ annual camp for high school players, grades 9-12. There will be six teams and each team will play eight games, with play beginning Oct. 20 and running through Nov. 21. Cost is $200 per player, which includes a T-shirt. Registration deadline is Oct. 9. Bobcat Fall League Baseball Camp
Jones County Junior College is holding its annual camp at Wooten-Legion Field in Laurel for players in grades 9-12. The camp includes a Skills Clinic on Oct. 22 from 4:30 p.m.-7 p.m. Games will be played Oct. 26-Nov. 12. Registration fee is $150 per player and the camp is limited to the first 72 players to register. All campers receive a T-shirt. A registration form is available at www.jcjc.edu/athletics. Keli B. Brown Golf Tournament
Friday, Oct. 9 at the Ponta Creek Golf Course (NAS Meridian). Four-person scramble with shotgun start at 9 a.m. Entry fee is $160 per team with proceeds going to KBB Memorial Scholarship Fund. Registration deadline is COB on Monday, Oct. 5 due to 22-team limit. Prizes awarded for “closest to the pin” and “longest drive”. Food and beverages will be provided. Quitman Country Club Senior Two-Man Scramble

Rally for the Cure Golf Tournament
Four-Lady scramble at Ponta Creek Golf Course at NAS Meridian on Oct. 17, with a 9 a.m. tee time. East Central hosting annual ‘Tennis Showdowns’
Area tennis enthusiasts will have an opportunity to test their skills when East Central Community College holds its annual “Tennis Showdowns” on the Decatur campus. Competition for men is set for Saturday, Sept. 26, followed by the women’s tournament on Saturday, Oct. 3. Entry fee is $10 for singles or doubles or $15 for both events.
