Drowning victim identified

Local officials have identified the victim of an accidental drowning late Sunday night as Jackie Robinson, 41, of Meridian.

Robinson, a native of Forest, was pulled from the waters of Okatibbee Lake early Monday morning by divers of the Lauderdale County Emergency Management Agency. A preliminary autopsy report stated Robinson died as a result of fresh water drowning.
