Two Meridian Chik-fil-A employees, Tiffany Dotson and Quincee Walker, have been awarded the chain’s national Leadership Scholarship. The fast food chain has been awarding scholarships to its employees since 1973, and has awarded almost $25 million to date.

Dotson, who works at the Meridian Crossroads Chik-fil-A, and Walker, who works at the Bonita Lakes Mall Chik-fil-A, each received $1,000 scholarships. Both scholarship recipients are students at Meridian Community College, where Dotson studies Nursing and Walker studies Theater.

Chik-fil-A plans to award $1.4 million in $1,000 scholarships this year, with 25 of the recipients winning a second $1,000 scholarship.
