The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday:



• Shoplifting – Tommy White, 43, 2513 33rd Ave.

• Shoplifting – Fred Brassfield, 49, 2103 31st Ave.

• Telephone harassment/Disturbance of a business – Ogra T Bell, 24, 1014 28th Ave.

• Telephone Harassment/Disturbance of a business – Daphine Bell, 42, 2015 Mosby Road, Apt. B-3

• Contempt of court – Christopher Clay Bailey, 31, 1408 Marion- Russell Road

• Credit card fraud – John David Oliver, 30, 3725 Knox Road, Toomsuba

• Resisting arrest/Speeding – William A. Bounds, 60, 3637 24th Ave. Bounds is also charged with failure to stop for blue lights.

• Trespassing/Simple assault – Erica Portis, 30, 4006 Royal Road

• Trespassing/Simple assault – Lashonda Denise Powell, 30, 2305 D St., B-6

• Disorderly conduct – Christopher J. Wadell, 31, 2674 St. Charles St.

• Contempt of court – Sonya Faye Augustine, 31, 2216 43rd St.

• Contempt of court, two counts – Tourea Lancal Brown, 24, 3501 Old Marion Road. Brown is also charged with driving with a suspended license and speeding.

• Shoplifting – Shantari L. Lewis, 22, 10130 Morgan Road

• Driving Under the Influence (DUI) – Fredrick William Kahlmus Jr., 55, 8105 Pinewood Drive. No proof of liability insurance and careless driving.

• Simple assault by threat – William M. Strickland, 52, 788 Scruggs Road

• Contempt of court – Dona B. Ivey, 52, 5416 Hwy 145

• Contempt of court – Annette G Bryant, 43, 1919 25th Ave. Bryant is also charged with violation of child restraint, no proof of liability insurance, driving with a suspended license and driving with an expired tag.

• Contempt of court, two counts – Poncy D. Davis, 27, 1615 31st Ave.

• Possession of marijuana – Jeremy D. Williams, 18, 4301 Highway 496. Williams is also charged with loitering.

• Contempt of court – Derrious D. Taylor, 19, 2320 46th Ave. • Contempt of court – Melvin Holesome, 46, 2723 41st Ave. • Simple assault – Alan Johnson Jr., 49, 220 Beach St. Johnson is also charge with trespassing.

• Disorderly conduct – Henry Q. Lewis, 23, 913 26 St.

• Contempt of court – Michael D. Clayton, 36, 5652 Cooper Circle
