Shooting victim IDs trigger man

The victim in a Jan. 16 shooting outside a Lauderdale County nightclub has identified to Lauderdale County sheriff’s investigators the man who he says shot him in the stomach with a shotgun.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department Chief Deputy Ward Calhoun said an aggravated assault warrant has been issued for Benjamin Reed of Lauderdale.

Reed was caught by the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department later this afternoon after the victim supplied investigators with the name.

Authorities arrested Reed in Lauderdale.

Bond was set at $25,000.
