Mr. and Mrs. Donnie Mathis of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Lynn, to Glenn Maxwell Brock III, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sonny Brock of Lexington.

The wedding will be Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009, at 5 p.m. at Highland Baptist Church in Meridian.

Miss Mathis is the granddaughter of Delores Parker of Quitman and the late Francis Parker and the late A.D. Mathis and Minnie Lee Mathis of Quitman.

The bride-elect received a bachelor’s degree in family and consumer consumer sciences from the University of Mississippi. She is a graduate of Lamar High School

Miss Mathis is employed by Sunbelt BMW-Mazda.

Mr. Brock is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Brock Sr. of Kosciusko and the late Dorothy McNeer Brock of Lexington and Morris Edwin Johnson of Greenwood and the late Peggy Davis Johnson of Greenwood.

The bridegroom-elect received a bachelor’s degree in agricultural engineering and business technology from Mississippi State University. He is a graduate of Central Holmes Academy.

Mr. Brock is employed by Progressive Pipeline Inc.

A reception will be held at Meridian Little Theatre immediately following the ceremony.
