Carthage man found dead in Louisiana
Louisiana authorities searching for suspects

The victim of an apparent homicide in Lafayette, La., has been identified as Eric “Blake” Renfrow, 20, of Carthage.
Renfrow’s body was discovered in an open lot between two businesses by an employee Dec. 19, at about 8:15 a.m. Patrolmen and detectives of the Lafayette Police Department responded to the scene on South Hugh Wallis Road and found a man dead from a gunshot wound.
According to a press release issued by Cpl. Paul Mouton, public information officer for the LPD, Renfrow’s identity was unknown until fingerprints were analyzed. So far no one has been arrested in connection with the case.
In addition to suspects, detectives are seeking the whereabouts of Refrow’s vehicle, a white 2007 Mazda 3, four-door, bearing Mississippi license plate number LJB068. The vehicle has been listed as stolen.
Renfrow had been working for an oil field services company in Houma, La. Family members last spoke with the victim by phone on Dec. 18. at about 12:30 p.m.
