BUTLER, Ala. — Services for Shirley Portis Ruffin were held Monday at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Andre Hearn officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Weatherly-Studdard Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Ruffin, 59, died Monday, Dec. 15, 2008, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, Miss.
