Lauderdale County District 4 Supervisor Joe Norwood said that a recent article about a $1 million bond issue being considered by the county misquoted him when he said it was unfair because the county is not under the “unit system.” He said his point was that it was unfair because the county is under the unit system, not the previous beat system. Norwood is trying to bring the bond to a vote by putting petitions out in several public offices. It requires 1,500 names of registered voters by 5 p.m. today.
