A wrecker service worker hooks up one of three vehicles involved Wednesday morning in a collision in the eastbound lanes on Interstate 59/20 in Meridian near the 22nd Avenue Exit. Three people were taken to local hospitals for treatment of unspecified injuries. The accident occurred at about 10:45 a.m., said authorities at the scene, as emergency workers tried to clear the interstate of an earlier accident involving a vehicle and an 18-wheeler. One person was transported to a Meridian hospital as a result of that accident.
