• 7 a.m. – 2 p.m. — Make-A-Wish will hold a garage sale at 10165 Linwood Drive, off Highway 19 North. All proceeds will be used to grant wishes in the area. Call (601) 483-8144.

• 11 a.m. — A book signing for “Pets Across America” a collection of pet stories by Anne McKee will be held at the Lauderdale County Animal Control Shelter. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the animal shelter.

• 4 p.m. – 9 p.m. — A book signing of “Pets Across America” by Anne McKee will be held at Petco. Portions of the proceeds will benefit the Lauderdale County Animal Control Shelter.

• 6:30 p.m. — A Barbershop Gala will be held at Central United Methodist Church featuring the Brick Street Quartet and the church’s local Barbershop Group. The gala will be held in the fellowship hall of Central United Methodist Church. Tickets are $10 and proceeds will go to the children’s ministry of the church. Seating is limited. Saturday, Nov. 15

• 6:30 p.m. — The Clarke County Christian Singles will hold a Thanksgiving Covered Dish Dinner at The Living Word Church Fellowship Hall, 500 North Jackson Avenue in Quitman. • 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. — Lauderdale County Health Department will be giving flu shots at the health department office, located at 5224 Valley Street. You must bring Social Security, Medicaid, Medicare card. Adult flu shots are $25; pneumonia shots are $48 and childhood flu shots are $10. Medicare and Medicaid patients are free of charge.
