Billy and Jerri Gardner of Lauderdale announce the engagement of their daughter, Jayme Brooke, to Jason Cooper Watts, son of Bryan “Spike” Watts and Sheryl Watts of Meridian.

The wedding will be held Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008, at 5 p.m. at he Viking House in Orange Beach, Ala.

Miss Gardner is the granddaughter of Henderson and Bonnie Tabb and Bobbie Gardner, all of Lauderdale, and the late William Gardner.

The bride-elect is pursuing a degree in elementary education from Mississippi State University. She is a graduate of Northeast Lauderdale High School.

Mr. Watts is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Willie C. Cooper of Meridian and the late J. Cliff and Feny Watts.

The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Lamar High School.

Mr. Watts is employed by Sea Spray Charters.

A reception will be held at the Viking House following the ceremony.
