Vance inducted into credit union hall of fame

JACKSON, MS – James Vance, Meridian Mutual Federal Credit Union board chairman and resident of Meridian, was recently inducted into the Mississippi Credit Union Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony was held during the Mississippi Credit Union Association’s 71st Annual Meeting and Convention.
The Mississippi Credit Union Hall of Fame is the state’s highest honor for credit unions, recognizing individuals for their years of credit union service and involvement at the local, chapter, state and national levels.
During the induction speech, Dennis Florreich, Meridian Mutual FCU President/CEO reflected on Vance’s 42 years of volunteer service to the credit union and it’s members.
“Through his leadership, James Vance’s faithful service has benefited not only the credit union’s board of directors, but more importantly, the members of Meridian Mutual FCU,” said Florreich, “He is truly deserving of this honor.”
Vance’s wife Patsy and son Jeff joined him at the meeting to celebrate his recognition.
