Alfa Insurance located in Montgomery, Ala. recognized the Meridian service center with First Runner Up honors in the 2007 Service Center of the Year Competition. The local Service Center was honored at the company’s annual awards ceremony held in Montgomery on Feb. 19. The local service center is located at 1300 14th St. in Meridian.

The Meridian service center is staffed by Agents, Randy Diveley and Elsie Diveley and customer service representatives Lorna Copeland and Phylicia Diveley. They were recognized for achievements in total sales and expense ratio. It earned its top ranking from among more than 400 offices throughout Alabama, Georgia and Mississippi. The Meridian service center offers insurance coverage for auto, home, life, loans and business.

Lorna Copeland, office manager, is a graduate of Meridian High School and a resident of Meridian. She is married to Matt Copeland and they have three children, Capri, Abigail and Lane. They are members of Hawkins Memorial Methodist Church, where she is a Sunday school teacher.

Phylicia Diveley, CSR, lives in Bailey. She is currently a senior at Northeast Lauderdale High School, where she is an honor student. She has been working with Alfa for the past two years. She is the daughter of Randy Diveley.

Randy Diveley, agent, is vice-president of Meridian Association of Financial Insurance Advisors. He is a resident of Meridian. He has three children, Randy Lee, Phillip and Phylicia and a daughter-in-law, Deanna.

Elsie Diveley, agent, is married to Robert Diveley Sr. They have lived in Chunky for the 45 years. Elsie is treasurer of the Meridian Association of Financial Insurance Advisors. She is a member of NFIB, and works with Make-A-Wish Foundation. She and her husband attend Concord United Methodist Church, where they both sing in the choir and Elsie is a part time Sunday school teacher.
