The East Mississippi Business Development Corporation presents “A Night on Broadway” at the MSU Riley Center on June 27, at 8 p.m.
A Night on Broadway is a special evening where people can come together to enjoy a night of the finest talent all the way from New York. This networking opportunity gives locals a chance to mingle with famous performers, promotes the Meridian Symphony Orchestra and enables business people to make necessary contacts in a relaxed atmosphere while enjoying sounds of Broadway.
Bringing a wealth of performing experience from the Broadway stage and from the studios of Los Angeles and New York City, Laurie Gayle Stephenson and Steve Amerson, the featured singers, will deliver an evening which is guaranteed to please. With a repertoire including Broadway show tunes, memorable songs from feature films and entertaining and inspiring sacred classics, this dynamic duo has created concert presentations, which are embraced by audiences around the country. The Meridian Symphony Orchestra will set the tone for the performance as accompaniment for the featured performers.
Manny Mitchell, Chairman of the East Mississippi Business Development Corporation said: “We, at the EMBDC, are excited about this particular event because it will exhibit the rich culture in our region as well as provide an outlet to conduct business communication. We would like to see the event flourish into an annual event that will bring our stakeholders, state and local officials, and business leaders together under one roof for a night full of entertainment and networking.”
Tickets for the event went on sale at the MSU Riley Center on May 19 for EMBDC members and will go on sale Monday, June 2, for the general public.
