Dear Sidney:

I am in desperate need of your help.

My friends talked me into going to the Meridian Little Theatre to watch a production about Patsy Cline. I was convinced that all it would be was a person singing old Patsy Cline songs. I reluctantly agreed to go.

Boy was I wrong, but here is where my troubles began. While the music was wonderful and the lady singing was beautiful, but it all paled in comparison to Louise.

All I think about is Louise, she has totally captivated my thoughts. When I lay down at night she is the last thought in my mind. That “on the edge” risqué walk and talk has me longing for more. A mere mortal’s words cannot describe her seductive ways. She is heavenly divine. (OK, so I tried.)

The vision of her gently swaying back and forth to the rhythm of the music permeates my world. I cannot work. That swaying, oh my goodness, so gentle, back and forth. But I also love the way she drives her car, especially when she goes real fast. I wonder if … Oh, never mind that thought.

To coin a phrase from Judge Lackey in the Scruggs debacle, “I am as lost as a ball in the tall grass.”

Can you help me?

Love sick, but wanting to be well.

Dear Sick …

Thanks for the giggle. Now, get back to work.
