Beauty is only skin deep in the eye of the beholder

Did you see here a while back in the news where Garrison Keillor dropped a restraining order he had put in place against a fan?
Keillor accused Andrea Campbell, a 43-year-old woman in Hawkinsville, Ga., of stalking him and sending him weird gifts like a petrified alligator’s foot, dead beetles and poems.
Well, that may be weird up in Minnesota where Keillor lives, but down here it’s just being nice in a magical sort of way. I think the weirdest thing of all is the fact that Garrison Keillor has a stalker.
In an interview with the St. Paul Pioneer Press newspaper, Campbell said she’s working on a book on how she and Keillor have influenced each other creatively.
If you want to see Garrison for yourself, he’s bringing his “Prairie Home Companion” show to the Summit Arena in Hot Springs, Ark., on Saturday, April 26 at 4:45 p.m. Tickets go on sale Monday, Feb. 18 and will be available a www.ticketmaster.com. Ticket prices range from $25-$45.
For someone special
If dead bugs and animal parts aren’t the kind of thing you care to send to the one you love, or stalk, try this — the First Christian Church Relay for Life team is offering a Singing Valentine with Chocolates.
They’ll visit your sweetie between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14. The cost is $25 and the proceeds go to Relay for Life and its efforts to fight cancer through the American Cancer Society.
Call the church for more info or to order up the singing and chocolate at (601) 693-1425.
