Families have two final opportunities to have their photos taken with Santa Claus while shopping at their local Wal-Mart store this weekend.

From 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Santa concludes his visits with shoppers at every Wal-Mart discount store and Supercenter across the country, including stores in Meridian. Customers can have their photo taken with him and receive one free 5” x 7” color photo keepsake with a decorative Christmas border, while supplies last.

This year marks the first time Santa has visited all of the 3,400 Wal-Mart discount stores and Supercenters across the United States, said Kristie Aylett, assistant public relations director for Wal-Mart. During his visits to Wal-Mart, the retailer estimates that Santa will personally visit with more than 1.6 million children over three weekends in its stores.

Customers can also purchase additional prints of the photo at the store’s digital photo center or order a variety of specialty products that feature the image, including posters, ornaments and Christmas cards.
