NWTF Notice



Right now, our own Robert Higginbotham is offering his services on the Board of Directors of the National Wild Turkey Federation. If elected he would become the first Mississippian to serve on this powerful and important board. He is one of six candidates running for three positions. Voting is underway and ends January 31, 2008.

Federation members, don’t throw away your current (November/December) issue of Turkey Call magazine. Official ballots are contained in that issue and presumably will also be in the January issue. If you need ballots, contact the NWTF office at (800) –THE-NWTF.

For Higginbotham, of Louisville, Mississippi, to be elected, the Mississippi members must spread the word so that maximum voting will occur. A call to the national NWTF office revealed that new members who join in November, preferably early November, should be able to vote in this election. Therefore the incentive to recruit should lead to a strong movement in the state.
