Services for Ellena George will be held today at 10 a.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Paul Honomichl officiating. Burial will be in Bailey Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Mrs. George, 84, of Meridian, died Monday, Nov. 5, 2007, in her home.

Survivors include her daughters, Freda McKee Bailey and her husband, Alfred, of Decatur, Lynn Stuart and her husband, Butch, of Meridian and Jeanette Adkinson and her husband, Ivan, of Preston; sons, Douglas E. McKee and his wife, Mary, of Lauderdale, Jeff George and his wife, Teressa, of DeKalb and Delane George and his wife, Martha, of DeKalb; a daughter-in-law, Sandy Wilkinson and her husband, Bobby, of Butler, Ala.; sisters, Lula Bateman of Meridian, Edna Page and her husband, Ray, of Collinsville, Ruby David and her husband, Harold, of House and Jenny Chesney and her husband, J.T., of Little Rock; a sister-in-law, Mavis Massey of Meridian; brother-in-law, Charles Chisolm of Damascus; grandchildren, Carla Gable of Quitman; Walton McKee of Lauderdale; Allison Brunson, Al Bailey and Felicia Skipper, all of Decatur, Tricia Lacy, Nicole Beisman both of Meridian, Butch Stuart Jr. of Florence, Morgan McKee of Enterprise, Ashley George, Alexa Ferguson and Alex George, all of DeKalb, Casey Atkinson of Preston and Jason Morris of Pace, Fla.; 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Alvie Laverne McKee and William Thurman George; a son, Benard Laverne McKee and a grandson, Jimmy Morris.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
