Walter E. Grantham

Retired



Services for Walter E. Grantham will be held Friday at 11:30 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Howard McKee and Charles Robbins officiating. Burial will be in Enondale Cemetery.

Mr. Grantham, 72, of Porterville, died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2007, in his home. He is a retired Mississippi Wildlife Conservation Officer. He is also a retired veteran of the National Guard. He will be remembered as one who enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Lawanda Grantham of Porterville; a daughter, Mary Ann Ward and her husband, James, of Collinsville and a brother, Leslie Grantham of Porterville.

He was preceded in death by his son, James Grantham; parents, Elvin and Minnie Grantham.

Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.- 8 p.m. at the funeral home.



Edna Ruth Hill Moody

Retired



BUTLER, Ala. — Graveside services for Edna Ruth Hill Moody will be held Friday at 11:30 a.m. at Ebenezer Cemetery with the Rev. Michael Perry officiating. Bumpers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Moody, 74, of Ward, died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2007, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, Miss.

Survivors include her daughters, Caroline Swanson and Mamie Warren; two step-daughters; five brothers; two sisters; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be Friday from 10 a.m.- 11 a.m. at the funeral home.



Joe W. Clayton

Truck driver



Services for Joe W. Clayton will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Berry and Gardner Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Willie Andrew West officiating. Burial will be in Clayton-Lockart Cemetery.

Mr. Clayton, 62, of Chicago, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007, at Rush Presbyterian Hospital in Chicago.

Visitation will be today from 6 p.m.- 7 p.m. at the funeral home.



George Lewis



Services for George Lewis will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Ridge Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. John Griggs II officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Collinsville.

Mr. Lewis, 92, of Collinsville, died Monday, Oct. 15, 2007, in his home.

Visitation will be Friday from 6 p.m.- 7 p.m. at the funeral home.



Stacey R. Fleming



Services for Stacey R. Fleming will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Pearlie Grove Baptist Church in Quitman with the Rev. Willie Young officiating. Burial will be in Archusa Cemetery. Berry and Gardner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Fleming, 35, of Quitman, died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2007, at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital.

Visitation will be Friday from 6 p.m.- 8 p.m. at the funeral home in Quitman.



Margaret Denise McClelland



Services for Margaret Denise McClelland will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at St. John Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Frederick Crowell officiating. Burial will be in Marion Community Cemetery. Berry and Gardner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Ms. McClelland, 35, of Meridian, died Friday, Oct. 12, 2007, at Riley Hospital.



Diana Marlene Trettin



APPLETON, Wisc. — Services for Diana Marlene Trettin will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Brettschneider-Trettin-Lederer Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Patrick Whitcomb officiating.

Mrs. Trettin, 57, of Atlanta, died Monday, Oct. 15, 2007, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Atlanta. She was born on Sept. 19, 1950, in Charleston, W.Va. to Jack D. and Dormal Powell Jackson. She graduated from South Charleston High School in 1968 and moved with her family to Clifton Forge, Va., in 1970. She graduated from Dabney S. Lancaster Community College in 1972. In 1974, she met Daniel R. Trettin in Covington, Va., and they were married in 1977 in Clifton Forge.

She will be remembered as a genuine and caring person. She relished her family and treated her friends as her extended family. Her zest for life and love of flowers touched all who met her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her husband, Dan; sons, David and Christopher; mother, Dorma Jackson of Covington, Va.; a sister, Terry Dew and her husband, Larry, of Eagle Rock, Va.; a brother, Steve Jackson and his wife, Fran, of Sparks, Nev.; an aunt and uncle, Richard and Juanita Stone of Laurel, Del. and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jack D. Jackson and a sister, Sherry Stone.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o the funeral chapel at 606 N. Oneida St. Appleton, WI 54911.

Visitation will be Monday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.



Bobby Ray Shirley Sr.

QUITMAN — Graveside services for Bobby Ray Shirley Sr. were held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Stonewall Cemetery with the Rev. David Chandker officiating. Wright’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Shirley, 77, of Stonewall, died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2007, at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital in Quitman.

Survivors icnlude his daughters, Joyce Irby of Kilgore, Texas and Wanda Pugh of Stonewall; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Shirley; a son, Bobby Ray Shirley Jr. and a granddaughter, Stephanie Leann Pugh.
