Perry and Dianne Lewis of Collinsville announce the engagement of their daughter, Latrecia DeAnne, to Patrick Stubbs, son of Gladys Stubbs of Bassfield. Mr. Stubbs is also the son of the late Eugene Stubbs.

The wedding will be held on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007, at 3 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church in Daleville.

Ms. Lewis is the granddaughter of Emma Lewis of Collinsville and the late Rev. Esau Lewis and Bessie Hill of Daleville and the late Jesse Hill.

The bride-elect received a bachelor’s degree in biology from Alcorn State University and an associate’s degree from Meridian Community College. She is a graduate of Northeast Lauderdale High School.

While attending Alcorn, she was a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. and participated in the NAACP, National Council for Negro Women (NCNW), Biology Club and the “Sounds of Dynamite” marching band.

Ms. Lewis is employed by Entergy Operations, Inc., as a water treatment chemist at Grand Gulf Nuclear Station in Port Gibson.

Mr. Stubbs is the grandson of Willie Bell of Bassfield and the late Leroy Stubbs and the late Honor and Suzy Johnson of Prentiss.

The bridegroom-elect received a bachelor’s degree in biology from Alcorn State University. He is a graduate of Bassfield High School.

While attending Alcorn, he was a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc., and participated in the Biology Club, Honors Club and the “Sounds of Dynamite” marching band.

Mr. Stubbs is employed by Entergy Corporation as a plant chemist and environmental technician at White Bluff Power Plant in Redfield, Ark.

A reception will be held at Naval Air Station Meridian following the ceremony.
