James Love



Graveside services for James Love will be held today at 3 p.m. at Pentecostal Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Russell with the Rev. Burnell Grant officiating. Berry and Gardner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Love, 89, of York, Ala., died Monday, June 11, 2007, at Rush Foundation Hospital.



Mae Bell Henry



Services for Mae Bell Henry will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Reed officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Berry and Gardner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Henry, 75, of Meridian, died Monday, June 11, 2007, at Rush Foundation Hospital.

Visitation will be today from 6 p.m.- 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

PHILADELPHIA — Services for Joy Langdon will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Lin Chesney officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in the House Community.

Mr. Langdon, 79, of Meridian, died Tuesday, June 12, 2007, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.

DEKALB — Services for Annie R. Johnson will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at New Hope United Methodist Church in DeKalb with the Rev. Dr. Wayne Bass officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Blackwater Church Cemetery in Daleville. E.E. McDonald Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Johnson, 68, of DeKalb, died Sunday, June 10, 2007, in her home.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings.

Visitation will be today from 6 p.m.- 8 p.m. at the funeral home in DeKalb.

PHILADELPHIA — Services for Brandon Edward Phillips will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Bogue Chitto Facility Building with the Rev. Henderson Williams officiating. Burial will be in Frazier Cemetery. John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Phillips, 12, of Philadelphia, died Tuesday, June 12, 2007, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

Survivors include his parents, Eddie and Wendy Phillips; sisters, Teara Phillips and Miya Steve; a brother, Tryeston Thompson; his grandparents; great-grandfather; several other relatives and friends.

Visitation will begin today at 10 a.m. at the family home.





Gordon E. Glisson

Retired



Services for Gordon E. Glisson will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Malcolm Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Mr. Glisson, 73, of Meridian, died Monday, June 11, 2007, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Northcrest Baptist Church and was a past deacon and Sunday school teacher. He served for more than 22 years in the U.S. Navy as a Chief Petty Officer. He also worked as an agent at Shelter Insurance for more than 15 years and at Dynaco at the NAS Meridian base.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Glisson of Meridian; daughters, Debra McPherson and her husband, Dean, and Kaye Cothern and her husband, Mike, all of Meridian and Angie Kluge and her husband, Tim, of Navarre Beach, Fla.; a son, Randy Glisson and his wife, Debbie, of Knoxville, Tenn.; grandchildren, Jeremy Glisson, Jason McPherson, Michelle Hastings, Jessica Dennis, Jesse Dennis and Lauren Demars and four great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Northcrest Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Jason McPherson, Jeremy Glisson, Dan Knisley, Bobby Matthews, David Matthews and Everett Matthews.

Visitation will be today from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Evans, 17, of Enterprise, died Friday, June 8, 2007, in his home.

Survivors include his mother, Mary Evans of Enterprise; father, Larry McGraw of Atlanta; sisters, Mikala Evans of Enterprise, Jadia Johnson of Gonzales, La., Jordan Hughes of Natchez; brothers, Damarcus Watts of Chicago, James McGraw of Vidalia, La., Kelvin McGraw of Jackson, Xavier Allen of Feerida, La., and Devin West of Natchez; grandfather, Joseph Mays; grandmother, Evelyn McGraw of Vidalia.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Luke and Bonnie Evans.

Visitation will be Friday from 7:30 p.m.- 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Leggett, 70, of DeKalb, died Saturday, June 9, 2007, in his home.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Mrs. Culpepper, 74, of Meridian, died Saturday, June 9, 2007, at Riley Hospital.

Ann Lee Peavy Morrison



Services for Ann Lee Peavy Morrison were held Friday at 11 a.m. at Antioch Christian Church with the Revs. Dawson Morrison and John Cash officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. James F. Webb Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Morrison, 82, of Portland, Ore., died Monday, June 4, 2007, at Adventist Medical Center in Portland. She was born in Hickory and graduated from Hickory High School in 1943.

Survivors include her sons, the Rev. Dawson Morrison and his wife, Wanda, of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Lawson David Morrison and his wife, Carman, and Clifton Morrison and his wife, Lori, all of Cottondale, Ala.; daughters, Prisilla Gilbert of Las Vegas, Martha Stieger and Pat DeTour, both of Portland; sisters, Susan Sibley and her husband, Benny, of Newton, Evelyn Tolbert and Joan Branning and her husband, Bill, all of Mobile, Ala.; a brother, Bob Peavy and his wife, Juanita, of Quitman; 20 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Annie Peavy and her husband, Lawson Morrison.

Pallbearers were Brandon Morrison, Ben Morrison, Kelly Looney, Jeff Sibley, Scott Sibley and Desmond Looney.
