Praise for Northcrest Baptist Church’s Preschool

I would like to take this opportunity to praise the preschool at Northcrest Baptist Church. My child, Justin, has been a student there for the past year and a half, and I believe their program is one of the best kept secrets in Meridian. Every person there from the janitorial staff on up comes to work with a smile on their face, and joy in their heart.

My sincerest thanks goes out to Sue Trawick, Bonnie Ethridge, Pattie Duke, Daveyel Smith, Charrisa Shirley, Jerri Partridge, Linnie Reynolds, Sherrie Jackson, and everyone else at the church who works so hard to make it all happen. Of course, we will always miss Ann Tucker, who left this world much sooner than any of us were ready to say goodbye.

From the sweet sounds of “Happy Birthday, Jesus” to my scrapbook of the many precious pieces of artwork that they helped my child to make, I have memories of these days that will last a lifetime. Without a doubt, these dear ladies have had a hand in helping to shape the kind of person my little boy is today.

Mrs. Sue gave special love and care to both Justin and me when the idea of starting school was a new and scary thing for us both. Then, Mrs. Bonnie stole our hearts with her personality so full of fun and her heart full of love for each student in her class. Mrs. Pattie was always there with a listening ear and was always ready with a bright and cheery “Good Morning, Justin,” as soon as he came through the door. She encouraged him and she encouraged me.

Through this school, we have made friends with some of the dearest families you would ever want to meet. I am convinced that the preschool years are some of the sweetest days that you can ever enjoy, and we were oh, so lucky to have spent our time with the very sweetest of friends.

We were blessed.
