Services for Patricia Earl will be held today at 11 a.m. at Berry and Gardner Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Odell Hopkins officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Miss Earl, 51, of Meridian, died Wednesday, April 25, 2007, in her home.
Mildred Beatty Grantham

JACKSON — Graveside services for Mildred Beatty Grantham will be held today at 11 a.m. at Masonic Cemetery in Newton. Mark Seepe Funeral Directors and Crematorium is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Grantham, 94, of Newton, died Thursday, April 26, 2007, at O’Brian’s Personal Care Home in Starkville.
Survivors include her nieces, Carol Fisal, Georgia Beatty, Cindy Broder and nephews, Sonny Beatty, Hamp Beatty and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Evan Woodrow Ivey

QUITMAN — Services for Evan Woodrow Ivey will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Pine Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Buddy Braddock officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Wright’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Ivey, 87, died Sunday, April 29, 2007, at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital in Quitman. He was born on Dec. 9, 1919 in Clarke County to the late Emmit and Bertha Ivey of Clarke County. In 1938 he married Eva Mae Prince of Clarke County and they were married for more than 64 years until her death in 2002.
Mr. Ivey served as song leader and Sunday School teacher at Center Ridge Baptist Church and Pine Grove Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps and served in World War II. He served as a gunner and radio operator on heavy bombers. After the war ended, he was assigned to the “Atom Smashers”, a military unit that tested nuclear bombs on Pacific Islands.
He opened and operated Ivey Grocery, a country store in Clarke County. He also worked as an oil field pumper in Langsdale and Clarke County oil fields.
Survivors include his sons, Bobby Ray Ivey and his wife, Wanda, Roger Daniel; a daughter, Nelda Jean Holley and her husband Jeffrey; brothers, William “Billy” Ivey, and Thomas “Tommy” Ivey; grandchildren, Wayne Riley Jr., Judy Riley Darsey, Rebecca Riley, Traci Riley Mathis, Ronald Ivey, Stacy Holley, Christy Holley and Randy Holley; great-grandchildren, Matthew Riley, Christopher Riley, Riley Darsey, Morgan Darsey, Tyler Darsey, Stefani Finley, Anna Logan Mathis, Riley Catherine Mathis, Caroline Mathis, Michelle Harrison Jipson, Thomas Harrison, Robert Ivey, Grant Ivey, Miranda Sibani, Elias Sibani, Natalie Sibani, Madeline Hinton, Hanna Kai Holley and Ethan Holley; great-great-grandchildren, Bree Jipson, Ty Jipson, Arianna Harrison and Tyler Ivey and a former son-in-law, Dr. Wayne E. Riley.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Joseph Earl, granddaughter, Leisa Ivey; a grandson, Wade Hampton Holley, granddaughter, Joy Noel Holley and his oldest daughter, Glenda Nell.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Ivey, Robert Ivey, Tom Harrison, Grant Ivey, Riley Darsey, and Christopher Riley.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.- 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Services for Pearlye Harmon will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Mt. Valley Baptist Church with the Rev. Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery. Berry and Gardner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Harmon, 81, of Meridian, died Wednesday, April 25, 2007, in Meridian.
Visitation will be today from 6 p.m.- 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Lorene McBrayer
Graveside services for Lorene McBrayer will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Donald Gentry officiating. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. McBrayer, 85, of Meridian, died Saturday, April 28, 2007, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Survivors include her daughters, Marie Beddingfield and her husband, Larry and Joann McDaniel and her husband, James, all of Meridian; a son, Wayne McBrayer and his friend, Lynnell Goss of Meridian; brothers, Grover Robinson and his wife, Dorthy and Cecil Robinson and his wife, Imogene, all of Meridian; grandchildren, Christy Young and her husband, Jacob, Philip Beddingfield and Mark Beddingfield, all of Meridian, Susan Estes and her husband, Hal, of Noxapater, Kay Carter and her husband, Larry, of Nashville, Tenn., Terry McDaniel of Pensacola, Fla., Barbara Brogle of Michigan, Elaine Stahl and her husband, Charlie, Teresa Maye, Kim Hover and her husband, Ronnie, Shon McBrayer and his wife, Krystal, all of Meridian; great-grandchildren, Katie Beddingfield, Gracie Young, Taylor Smith, Brooke Smith and Jacob Smith, Matthew Carter, Zackary Carter, Eric Graves and his wife, Chassity, Kyle Brogle, Brittney Stahl, Chassity and Douglas Maye, Jessica Castillo, Dustin Hover and Trey Hover and one great-great-grandchild, Keiden Graves and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl McBrayer; parents, Elmer and Audie Robinson; sisters, Delores Williams and Ruby Faye Robinson; brothers, Ethan Robinson and Ozell Robinson.
Pallbearers will be Philip Beddingfield, Mark Beddingfield, Jacob Young, Larry Beddingfield, Grover Robinson Jr. and Eric Graves.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Willie Love
Services for Willie Love will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Enterprise Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Darious Edmonson officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mr. Love, 78, of Meridian, died Friday, April 28, 2007, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Jackson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his wife, Bessie D. Love; sons, Johnny Love, Rickie Love and Robert Love; daughters, Darnice Scott, Janice Davis, and Cassandra Kelly; three brothers; three sisters; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6 p.m.- 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Charlie Gilbert Trosper

LOUISVILLE — Services for Charlie Gilbert Trosper were held Monday at 11 a.m. at Porter Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. David Keen, Charles Rook and Mike Fuller officiating. Burial was in Perkinsville Cemetery.
Mr. Trosper, 82, of Louisville, died Saturday, April 27, 2007, in his home. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Ludie Trosper; daughters, Nancy Ford, Kay Miles, Donna Carson and Brenda Parker; sons, Danny Trosper and Tommy Trosper; two sisters and one brother; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
