Loise H. Carpenter
Services for Loise H. Carpenter will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Loyd Naten officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Carpenter, 77, of Enterprise, died Friday, March 30, 2007, at Riley Hospital. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Rev. William F. Carpenter of Enterprise; daughter, Alisa D. Williams and her husband, David, of Enterprise; son, William K. Carpenter of Houston, Texas; grandsons, Christopher Williams of Enterprise, William D. Carpenter and his wife, Shannon, of Houston, Miss.; granddaughter, D’Nece Thompson and her husband, Chad, of Long Beech; great-grandchildren, Dara and Anna Thompson of Long Beech, Truman Carpenter of Houston, Texas; and brother, Billy Wayne Hodgins of Olive Branch.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Reuben E. Hodgins Jr. and Macie Duncan Hodgins.
Pallbearers will be Bob Denny, Chris Carpenter, David Williams, Chad Thompson, Wade Williams and Dennis Carpenter.
Visitation will be held today from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mary Roberts Barnett
PHILADELPHIA — Services for Mary Roberts Barnett will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Wayne Griffith officiating. Burial will be in Carolina Cemetery.
Mrs. Barnett, 101, of Philadelphia, died Saturday, March 31, 2007, at Leake Memorial Hospital in Carthage. She was a retired public school teacher.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Barnett and grandson, Roger Barnett.
Visitation will be held today from from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
William Joiner
Services for William “Tommy” Joiner will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Frazier Grove Church of God with the Rev. Larry Branning officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Stephens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Joiner, 78, of the Frazier Grove Community died Friday, March 30, 2007, at his home. He was a retired automobile mechanic.
Survivors include his wife, Della Joiner of Bailey; sons, William “Bill” Warren of Oak Barbour, Wash., Joseph Warren of Bailey; daughter, Barbara Joiner of Meridian; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Lizzie Joiner.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Price, Sam Denmon, Joey Warren, Josh Woodall, Jeremy Woodall and Jared Woodall.
Visitation will be held today from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Maurice Jerome LaBiche Sr.
Services for Maurice Jerome LaBiche Sr. will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with the Revs. Mario Solorazano and Frank Cosgrove officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. LaBiche, 78, of Meridian, died Saturday, March 31, 2007, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was born and raised in New Orleans, La. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict aboard the U.S.S. Vesuvius. He moved to Meridian in 1953, where he established and operated LaBiche Jewelers. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church; Knights of Columbus, having served as Grand Knight; Meridian Moose Lodge; Legion of the Moose; VFW; Navy League of Meridian and PDK.
Survivors include his wife, Teresa Bailey LaBiche of Meridian; children, Maurice LaBiche Jr. and his wife, Martina, of Cary, N.C., Steven LaBiche of Meridian, Elizabeth Pharis and her husband, Weber, of Philadelphia, Teresa LaBiche of Raleigh, N.C.; sister, Joyce Casselberry of Metarie, La.; granddaughter, Orla LaBiche of Cary; grandsons, Cian LaBiche of Cary, Lang Pharis of Philadelphia; nephews, Peter Casselberry, Richard Casselberry; and niece, Josephine DeGrusha.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rose Mary LaBiche; parents, Henry and Josephine LaBiche; brothers, Lloyd, Ralph and Henry LaBiche.
Memorials may be made to St. Patrick Cemetery Fund, Knights of Columbus Seminarian Fund or a charity of your choice.
Visitation will be held Monday from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Charles Ed Baldwin
Services for Charles Ed Baldwin will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Temple of Praise Church Cemetery.
Mr. Baldwin, 34, of Meridian, died Friday, March 30, 2007, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Visitation will be Monday from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Louise Henderson
Services for Louise Henderson will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at E.E. McDonald Community Chapel, with the Rev. Evan E. McDonald officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery in DeKalb.
Mrs. Henderson, 62, of Meridian, died Wednesday, March 28, 2007, at her home. She was employed as a cook.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6 p.m. – 7 p.m. at the community chapel.
