• A Night of Unity 2007, a community-driven worship service featuring a diverse group of local interdenominational clergy and laity, will be held Feb. 1 at Fifth Street Baptist Church, 2530 Old Highway 45.

• LAUDERDALE — The first program of the year at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church will be held Jan. 14 at 2:30 p.m. Guest ministers will serve as speakers. “A New Evolution for 2007” is the theme.

• LAUDERDALE — A 34th-year Appreciation Service for Dorothy R. Naylor will be held Jan. 27 and 28 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, 4126 York Road.
