Sorry, Sweetheart … I’ve nothing for you this year

As often is the case, Noah expresses his thoughts best in verse. Here is the poem he wrote for his wife.
I have for you no beautiful flowers,
candy, or vintage wine.
I make “too much money,”
so sez Social Security … but they’re lying!
Silver and gold have I none,
but such as I have, give I to you.
My undying love from God’s Heaven,
up above the blue.
A marriage by God’s own design,
forever to love … a love so true.
And the sweetest thing I’ve
ever known is loving you!
This old man’s heart’s a “busting”
for the joy of loving you.
Sometimes I can’t believe you’re mine,
but it’s really true!
This I know. The sun came out,
and gray skies turned blue,
The very moment, Father God
brought you into my view.
He must really love me so much,
to give me such a “prize,”
And in know I’ll love Him and you,
‘til the day I “dies.”
I’m not trying to be “cute,”
and I’m not trying to be “funny”
But I’m just asking sweetheart,
will you still “Bee” my “honey”?
If things turn out right,
I’ll take you to McDonald’s to dine,
So after all, this anniversary
will turn out just fine!
Happy 45 years of marital bliss!
I knew you would become my bride,
after our first kiss!
P.S. You will more than likely
get the same thing for Christmas.
I love you,
Your favorite husband …
