The Evangel Temple Music Ministries has released its new project on compact disc, “Live with Friends.”
It will be available at both Bible Bookstore locations, at 820 23rd Ave., at Bonita Lakes Mall and at the church, 104 Skyland Drive, Highway 145 South.
The sophomore project features more than 90 members of the Evangel Temple Choir and musicians, as well as featured guests, including: Wanda Geddie Brickner, former Miss Mississippi, with Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir; David Huff of David and the Giants; Marty Raybon of Shenandoah; and the Liberty Quartet. The album is the product of a concert recorded live in the Hamasa Shriners Temple Theatre on Aug. 4.
The release has something for every taste according to church members. From the toe-tapping introduction of “God is Here” to the funky feel of “Stranger,” to the unmistakable southern-fried voice of Marty Raybon on “Walkin’ in Jerusalem” almost all musical flavors are covered.
The project was led by Jim Hammerly’s keyboard and organ playing and the Evangel Temple players.
The CD costs $15. Proceeds go to the church building fund. For more information, contact Dusty Culpepper at (601) 934-6109, or Kim Culpepper at (601) 527-9294.
