UNION — Services for Obera Barfoot Germany will be held today at 11 a.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Jeff Hancock and Bobby Barfoot officiating. Burial will be in New Ireland Cemetery.

Mrs. Germany, 84, of Union, died Monday, Nov. 13, 2006, at Rush Foundation Hospital.

YORK, Ala. — Graveside services for Louise McGowen Vaughan will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Clay Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Sam Nettles officiating. Bumpers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Vaughan, 89, of Cuba, died Monday, Nov. 13, 2006, at St. Vincent Hospital in Birmingham. She was a retired principal in the Meridian Public School System.

Survivors include her daughter, Jennye Causey and her husband, Wayne, of Starkville; a son, Jack McGowen Vaughan, of Cuba; sisters, Nell Vinston of Selma, and identical twin, Margaret Tate, of Cuba; grandchildren, Heath V. Causey of Starkville and Jennifer Causey of Nashville, Tenn.

Pallbearers will be Harvey Lee Webb, Stoney Vinston, Bill Davis, Charles Davis and Chris Vaughan.

Visitation will be Thursday following the service.

PHILADELPHIA — Services for Gilmer W. Edwards will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services with the Rev. Lonola Burks officiating. Burial will be in Edwards Cemetery in Kemper County.

Mr. Edwards, 87, of DeKalb, died Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2006, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ida Edwards; daughters, Frankie Haggard and Barbara Anderson; sons, Merl Edwards, Dennis Edwards, Clifton Edwards, Joe Edwards; one brother; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.- 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

BUTLER, Ala. — Services for Mary Norton Wade will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Morgan Chapel Baptist Church. Burial will be in Marvin Cemetery. Bumpers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Wade, 98, of Butler, died Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2006, at Rush Foundation Hospital.

Survivors include her son, John Wade; daughters, Ann Bright and Carol Vidal; one brother and one sister; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be today from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

UNION — Services for Prentis Lee “P.L.” Ferguson will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Hebron Baptist Church in Union with the Rev. Roger Laird officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Milling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Ferguson, 77, of Union, died Monday, Nov. 13, 2006, in his home.

Survivors include his step-daughter, Wanda Estes of Little Rock; a brother-in-law, Buck Scott and his wife, Sue, of Little Rock; sisters-in-law, Bernice Ferguson of Ridgeland, Bonnie Ferguson of Union and Evelyn Ferguson of Perkinston; nieces, Brenda McElhenney of Union, Barbara Dockeny of Ridgeland, Marie Thompson and Linda Johnson, both of Union; nephews, Mike Ferguson of Niceville, Fla., Don Ferguson of Union and Mark Ferguson of Indianapolis.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Scott Ferguson; parents, Raleigh and Lucy Smith Ferguson; a sister, Mattie Lou Easom; brothers, Earl Ferguson, Lev Ferguson and Travis Ferguson.

Pallbearers will be Hayes McMahan, Mickey McMahan, Jerry White, Robert Smith, Mike Ferguson and Don Ferguson.

Visitation will be Thursday from 10 a.m.- noon at the funeral home.

Mrs. Naylor, 78, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2006, at Riley Hospital.

Mrs. Mitchell, 98, of Booneville, died Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2006, at Booneville Baptist Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Booneville Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her son, Jim Mitchell and his wife, Pam, of Brandon; a daughter-in-law, Mary Evelyn Mitchell, of West Palm Beach, Fla.; sisters-in-law, Lela McClung of Paden and Corine Mitchell of Booneville; grandchildren, Philip Joseph Mitchell, James T. Mitchell Jr., Philip David Mitchell Jr. and Matthew Edward Mitchell; great-grandchildren, Jeffrey James Mitchell and Carrie Jolie Mitchell and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip B. Mitchell; parents Thomas Luther and Eva Dean McClung; a son, Philip David Mitchell; a sister, Cleo McClung Fuller; brothers, Tommy D., Finis, Joseph N. and W. S. “Bill” McClung.

Pallbearers will be Danny McClung, Benny McClung, Tim McClung, Tommy Ray Fuller, Kent McClung and Dewell Smith.

Mrs. Brace, 68, of DeKalb, died Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2006, in her home.

Survivors include her husband, William A. “Bill” Brace of DeKalb; daughters, Dawn Smith and her husband, Mike, of Scooba and Julie Allen and her husband, Billy, of DeKalb; grandsons, Jake Rush and Jesse Rush, both of Scooba; Daniel and Jonathan Allen, of DeKalb.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Birtie Hedgepeth and an infant son.

Pallbearers will be Lynn LeGett, Al Thomas, Harold Kitchens, Wayne Eldridge, Jimmy Woodfin and Robert Hudspeth.
