Services for Sarah Alice Townsend Brown will be held today at 11 a.m. at Pine Forest Baptist Church with the Revs. O. Lyn Nations and Curt Pace officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Brown, 90, of Collinsville, died Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2006, in her home. She was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church where she held various positions in the church and she was the custodian for the past 18 years at the church. She will be remembered as a devout wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her sons, Billy Ray Brown and his wife, Johnnie of Vicksburg, Leonard Brown and his wife, Jan, of Slidell, La., Bobby Brown and his wife, Sue, of Collinsville; a daughter, Merle Vance and her husband, Sonny, of Collinsville; sister, Katherine Poole of Collinsville; a brother, Everett Townsend and his wife, Jane, of Collinsville; grandchildren, Darinda Gruchy and her husband, Phil, of Starkville, Darlene Hataway and her husband, Alan, of Vicksburg, Kevin Brown of Slidell, Keith Brown and his wife, Jen, of Anchorage, Alaska, Julie Pierce and her husband, Bill, Mark Vance and his wife, Julie, and Joy Vance, all of Collinsville and Emily Deeb and her husband, David, of Meridian; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; step-grandchildren, Joy and Mark Schmitt, and Wayne Holden and his wife, Leslie and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold L. Brown; her parents, Grover and Flavie Townsend; grandsons, Roy Arnold Brown and Calvin Pernell Brown; brothers, Elliott Townsend, Cecil Townsend and Prentiss Townsend.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Visitation will be today 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.
Carman E. McMullen
Retired
Services for Carman E. “Sweat” McMullen will be held today at 2 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Gilbert Eaves and Albert McMullen officiating. Burial will be in Freedom Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. McMullen, 78, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2006, at The Specialty Hospital of Meridian. He was a retired employee of Lauderdale County District Five. He was proud that he had professed his faith in Jesus Christ on May 8, 2006.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth H. McMullen of Meridian; a daughter, Suzie McMullen Thead and her husband, Jerry, of Pigeon Forge, Tenn.; grandchildren, Gerilyn, Jennie and Jason Thead; a sister, Evelyn Sauls of Marion; several brothers-in-law; several sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be today from noon until service time at the funeral home.

QUITMAN — Graveside services for Albert Jefferson “A.J.”Breland Jr. will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Sandy Haven Cemetery with the Rev. Raymond Martin officiating. Wright’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Breland, 68, of Stonewall, died Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2006, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Breland of Stonewall; daughters, Margaret Bourg and her husband, Jerry, and Mary Patterson, all of Gretna, La. and Barbara Brignac of Enterprise; a brother, Jerry Ray Breland of Sanford; sisters, Lucille Mooney of Seminary, Maxine Anderson of Saucier and Molly Brewer of Hattiesburg; grandchildren, Dale Joseph Bourg, Misty C.M. Bourg, Brian Joseph Guillory, Amy Brignac, Joey Joseph Bourg, Steven Scott Guillory Sr., Jason Keith Guillory and Amber Brignac; great-grandchildren, Krystyn Bourg, Kayla Bourg, Alyssa Bourg, Ashley Rodriguez, Ashton Lee Highland, Steven Guillory Jr. and Kamryn Guillory.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Bourg, Joey Bourg, Bryan Guillory, Dale Bourg, Steven Guillory and Jason Guillory.
Visitation will be today beginning at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

Services for Juarez Elliott will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Savannah Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Edmonson officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Elliott, 72, of Meridian, died Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2006, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Visitation will be today from 6:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Albert Lamar Bagwell Jr.

PENSACOLA, Fla. — Memorial services for Albert Lamar Bagwell Jr. will be held Saturday at noon at Faith Chapel Funeral Home with he Rev. Gregory McBride officiating.
Mr. Bagwell, 45, of Pensacola, formerly of Ackerman, Miss., died Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2006, in Pensacola.
Survivors include his wife, Tonya Bagwell; a daughter, Britney Bagwell; a son, Jeremy “J.D.” Bagwell; step-daughter, Amber Malone; one sister Theresa Smith and her husband, Jeffrey; brothers, Mack Bagwell and Clifton Bagwell and his wife, Barbara; his grandmother, Louise Vivian Weaver and two grandchildren, Steven Fretwell III, and Caleb Malone; nieces and nephews, David Bagwell, Misty Bagwell, Patrick and Preston Smith and several other nieces and nephews; and his lifelong friend, Michael Aurell.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Annie Lee Lundy Robinson

Services for Annie Lee “Ann” Lundy Robinson will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. John Patterson and Medrick Savell officiating. Burial will be in Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Robinson, 81, of Jackson, formerly of Meridian, died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2006, at Rush Foundation Hospital. She worked with Payne Realty of Jackson Inc. beginning in 1972 and became a realtor member on May 25, 1973. She served as a director for the multiple listing service from 1986-1987. Also as a director of the Jackson Association of Realtors from 1987-1988 and 1992-1993. She received the MLS leading in residential sales monthly award seven times from 1980-1987. She was broker associate and held the designations of certified residential specialists (CRS), leadership training graduate (LTG), and graduate realtor Institute (GRIO). She served on numerous committees and was a member of the Women’s Council of Realtors. She was involved with the First Ladies Civitan Club of Jackson and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Meridian Chapter 11, from the 1950’s until her death. She was a longtime member of Colonial Heights Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sister, Dorothy Jane Lundy Trest and her husband, Arlie, of Dalewood; a sister-in-law, Edith McWilliams Lundy of Summit; a brother-in-law, Medrick Savell of Laurel; local niece, Darlene Trest Harrison and her husband, John, of Dalewood; nephews, Johnny Trest and his wife, Kathy, and Paul Robinson and his wife, Sandra, all of Vicksburg and Andy Robinson and his wife, Cathy, of Meridian, several cousins, other nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Neville Robinson; parents, Beamie and Walker Lundy; a sister, Margaret Doloise Savell and a brother, Earl Walker Lundy.
