Mochrie and Sherwood:

Known for their performances on “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood will perform their improvisational comedy during two performances Saturday at the MSU Riley Center and fulfill a Make-A-Wish request in the process.
Penny Kemp, MSU Riley Center marketing director, said that during the show, audience members can expect the duo to interact directly with them, which will include bringing audience members onto the stage, just as they would in a comedy club.
“The rider for this show requires that we supply 100 mouse traps, if that gives you any indication of what audiences might expect,” Kemp said. “This show is certainly different from anything the MSU Riley Center has presented in the inaugural season, and the historic theatre provides an incredibly intimate environment to interact with and be entertained by these renowned improv actors.”
A special audience member, Andrew Conley, 15, will attend the 9 p.m. performance. A Ninth-grader at Southeast Lauderdale, Conley will be able to see the show and meet the performers through a request granted by the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Andrew has Marfans Syndrome, a connective tissue disorder with many complications. In September of 2005 he underwent heart valve replacement surgery at Johns Hopkins University Medical Center. The surgery was complicated because of Marfans Syndrome.
He applied to the Make-A-Wish Foundation to attend an episode of “Whose Line is it Anyway” because he loves improve, Drew Carey and the rest of the show’s cast. The foundation contacted Andrew’s family and made arrangements for him to see Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood here at the MSU Riley Center. The Make-A-Wish Foundation is supplying him with 10 tickets for his family and friends as well as a Hummer limousine to pick them up and dinner at Red Lobster and plans are being made for him to visit the actors backstage.
Andrew’s mother, Stacy LaCaze, said Wednesday that her son is ecstatic over being able to see the show and meet the performers. By all accounts Andrew is a pretty good class clown himself.
“He’s had so any things to overcome in his life. He had to learn how to walk all over again when he was 9 years old. I think comedy has been his release and his mind save,” LaCaze said.
