Impressed with the Riley Center

Recently, as a part of my Meridian High School reunion, our Class of 1956 was given a tour of the Mississippi State University Riley Center.

We are so grateful to UBS Financial Services Inc. for treating us to this wonderful experience, which became one of the highlights of the weekend. Those of us who had seen the old Opera House when it was covered with dust and cobwebs were amazed at the magical transformation that had taken place.

All of us were so impressed with the expert craftsmanship and fine materials that were a part of the restoration. It is now a truly beautiful and magnificent facility that will be appreciated and enjoyed by the people of Meridian and so many people from other locations.

My family looks forward to attending performances at the Grand Opera House, which has such an interesting history and has been so beautifully restored.

I think in the years to come, when we look back and see the educational, cultural and financial impact that the Riley Center has had on Meridian and the state of Mississippi, we will be so thankful that there were those who had the vision and the foresight to carry out this tremendous project.
