Iva Lee Crenshaw
Services for Iva Lee Crenshaw will be held today at 2:30 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Lan Randall and Joseph Hallman officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Crenshaw, 87, of Meridian, died Friday, Oct. 6, 2006, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church and served on several church boards and committees. She was a Sunday school teacher and church treasurer. She was a member of Collinsville Homemakers Club, the Lula Moore Garden Club. She will be remembered as a loving, caring mother, God fearing and a supportive spouse, who worked her entire life guiding her family and friends in the direction of Christ.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, James Crenshaw of Meridian; sons, James Wayne Crenshaw and his wife, Lynn, Larry Crenshaw and his wife, Linda, Kyron Crenshaw and his wife, Brenda, all of Meridian and Danny Luke and his wife, Melanie, of Collinsville; a daughter, La Donna Smith and her husband, Ronnie, of Collinsville; grandchildren, Kerry Crenshaw and his wife, Missy, Tammy Ratcliff and her husband, Todd, Dawn Dobbins, Rachelle Black and her husband, Bobby, Richard Crenshaw and his wife, Suzanne, Susan Harwell, Mike Barnett, Heather McNeill and her husband, Frank, Ryan “Smitty” Smith, Jessy Dickson, Matthew Smith; great-grandchildren, Matthew Crenshaw, Dylan McEllhenney, Kayla Smith, Morgan Ratcliff, Brandon Black, Bethany Guire, Tres Dobbins, Eli Crenshaw, Campbell Horne, Brandon Crenshaw, Kimberly McMillan, Jake McNeill, Emma Claire McNeill and one great-great-grandchild, Alexander Guire; a sister, Margie Beeman and her husband, Thomas “T.W.”, Fannie Little and her husband, James; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Freeman and Lola Thames; a brother-in-law, Arthur Crenshaw and his wife, Julia and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pet and Ollie Freeman; sisters, Verna Mae Freeman and Gwendolyn Freeman; brothers, Odell Freeman, Excel Freeman, and Donald Freeman and a grandson, Tommy Dobbins Jr.
Pallbearers will be Richard Crenshaw, Kerry Crenshaw, Matthew “Smitty” Smith, Frank McNeil, Todd Ratcliff, Bobby Black and Matthew Crenshaw.
Willie Clara Harris
Services for Willie Clara “Sue” Harris will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at First Union Baptist Church with the Rev. Melvin Hendrick officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Shucktown with Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Harris, 58, of Meridian, died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2006, at Guardian Angel Hospice.
Survivors include her husband, Isiah Harris Jr. of Aurora, Colo.; her mother, Ethel Lois Pringle Taylor of Meridian; and three daughters, five sons, two brothers and other family members.
Visitation will be today from 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Cecil Eugene Covington
WAYNESBORO — Graveside services for Cecil Eugene Covington will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Phillip Cemetery with the Rev. Roger Douglas officiating. Freeman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Covington, 74, of Shubuta, died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2006, in his home.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Covington of Shubuta; a son, Cecil Eugene Covington Jr. of Shubuta; three daughters, Linda Benoit of Ellisville, Judy Douglas of Waynesboro and Dottie Manning of Laurel; two sisters, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
William “Bill” Kalinowski
Services for William “Bill” Kalinowski will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church with the Revs. Frank Cosgrove and Mario Solozano officiating. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Kalinowski, 68, of Meridian, died Friday, Oct. 6, 2006, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was employed by Rexel Inc. as a systems analyst. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Patricia Kalinowski of Meridian; his daughters, Mary Pat Linton and her husband, Ray, of Bailey, and Eileen Neugebaur and her husband, Mark, of Mt. Prospect, Ill.; his sister, Evelyn Tomko of Royersford, Penn.; five grandchildren, Zachary and Tylan Linton of Bailey, and Sara, Emily and Julia Neugebaur of Mt. Prospect; and several other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Julia Kalinowski.
Memorials may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church or the renovation fund.
Pallbearers will be Knights of Columbus.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Rosary will be at 8 p.m.
Margaret A. Hudson
BYRUM — Services for Margaret A. “Ted” Hudson will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Hudson, 76, of Terry, died Friday, Oct. 6, 2006, in her home. She was a native of Rose Hill.
Survivors include her brothers, Oscar C. Fowler and Eugene Fowler, both of Terry; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold D. Hudson.
Visitation will be today from 2 p.m. -4 p.m., and Monday from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Gary G. Lott
UNION — Services for Gary G. Lott will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Neshoba Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnny Collins officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Milling Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Lott, 63, of Union, died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2006, in his home.
Survivors include his wife, Maxine Lott of Union; two sons, Will Lott and his wife, Christy, of Kiln, and Jerry Lott and his wife, Kimberly, of Diamondhead; three stepsons, Mark Smith and his wife, Donna, of Union; Mike Smith and his wife, Jolene, of Decatur, and Bobby Smith and his wife, Ann, of Decatur; two grandsons, four step-grandsons, two step-granddaughters, and one great-grandson; a sister, Dean Gatwood and her husband, Phillip, of Hattiesburg; a brother, Bobby Lott and his wife, Sandy, of Houma, La.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willard Lott.
Visitation will be today from 5:30 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

PHILADELPHIA — Services for Louis Pitman Pou will be held Monday at 4 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service chapel with the Rev. James White officiating. Burial will be in New Black Jack Cemetery in Neshoba County.
Mr. Pou, 54, of Philadelphia, died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2006, at Rush Foundation Hospital. He was a farmer.
Visitation will be Monday from 2 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Dorothy Carol Lawson Wilson

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. — Services for Dorothy Carol Lawson Wilson were held Saturday at Watauga Avenue Presbyterian Church with the Rev. George Rollins officiating. Burial will be in a private ceremony. Woodall Anderson and Dugger Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Wilson, died Monday, Oct. 2, 2006, in Johnson City. She had been a resident of Johnson City for the past 30 years. She was the third daughter of the late Ann and Alton Lawson and the wife of Dr. Shelburne Wilson Sr. who preceded her in death in 1992. She was born in Meridian, Miss., in 1923 and upon completing high school, she entered into nurses’ training and graduated from Rush’s Academy in Meridian as a registered nurse just as her two older sisters had. She entered the U.S. Navy upon her graduation and was commissioned as an ensign. She never saw active duty during World War II, but she continued in the U.S. Reserves until 1962. She was very active in the military and her first husband was a career Air Force officer. She was at one time president of the Air Force Wive’s Club at Holloman Air Force Base, Alamogordo, N.M.
Throughout her life, she worked as a nurse and in 1966, developed and supervised the first intensive care unit in the hospital in McAllen, Texas, where she and her family moved after her husband’s retirement. In 1976, she moved to Knoxville, Tenn., where her daughter was living at the time and renewed her acquaintance with Dr. Wilson whom she had known when she was in nurses’ training. Upon their marriage, she moved to Johnson City, where she worked at the Med Center and later volunteered at the Johnson City Eye Hospital. In all, she was active in her nursing career for more than 34 years. She was also very involved in the Watauga Avenue Presbyterian Church and was an active member of P.E.O. as well as Southern Dames.
Survivors include her daughter, Donna Kay Smith and her husband, Michael; a son, Geral L. Long and his wife, Mary Dionne; a step-son, Dr. Shelburne Wilson Jr.; grandchildren, L. Rachael Rickman and her husband, Michael, M. Ryan Smith, Courtney Long, Christopher Long and his wife, Alissa; great-grandson, Gavin Long; a sister, Virginia Stanton; sister-in-law, Julia Schultz; a brother-in-law, “Mac” McKeller; nieces, Ann Bouchillon, Pam Dean, and Eula M. Cockerham and nephews, Pat McKeller, Don Stanton and Herbert Schultz.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, George L. Long and her sister, June McKeller.
