Look Good … Feel Better program scheduled for Monday

The next Look Good … Feel Better program in Lauderdale County will be held Monday from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. at the Jeff Anderson Regional Cancer Center.

Participants will receive goody bags with make-up and other cosmetics as part of the program.

Look Good … Feel Better is a nationwide program offered at no cost to female cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy or radiation treatment and experiencing appearance-related side effects.

The purpose of the program is to teach cancer patients a variety of beauty techniques to enhance their appearance. As a result, patients feel better because they look good.

The program is offered by the American Cancer Society, in partnership with the Cosmetic, Toiletry, and Fragrance Association Foundation and the National Cosmetology Association.

The program is free, but participants are asked to register. Call (601) 485-5081 to register, or contact the American Cancer Society at 1-800-ACS-2345.
