Cathy Darlene Floyd



Services for Cathy Darlene Floyd will be held today at 1 p.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Danny Davis officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Floyd, 46, of Meridian, died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2006, in her home. She was a shipping clerk for Perfect Promotions. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Rhinnon Hopkins of Brandon, Whitney Floyd and Paige Floyd, both of Meridian; brothers, Harold Ware Jr. of Meridian, and Daniel Ware of Magee; a sister, Daphne Ware of Jackson; parents, Harold and Janell Ware of Magee and Shirley and Jack Byrne of Meridian; two grandchildren; her grandmother, Christine Dismuke of Fairhope, Ala.; special aunts, Betty Bradley and Catherine Bowden, both of Meridian and a special friend, Keith Kennedy of Magee.

Pallbearers will be Sonnie Weathers, Wesley Robinson, Rayford Nester, Steve Waltman, Carl Chambers and Paul Baggley. Honorary pallbearer will be Eddie Broadway.



Charlotte Diane Hendley

BUTLER, Ala. — Services for Charlotte Diane Hendley will be held today at 2 p.m. at Wimberly Methodist Protestant Church with the Revs. James Gates, Jeff Carroll and Shane Wyatt officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Bumpers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Hendley, 57, of Toxey, died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2006, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian.

Survivors include her daughter, Teresa Boykin; her husband, Paul Hendley; two sisters; one grandchild and several other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her daughter.



Edward Monroe



Graveside services for Edward “Ed” Monroe will be held today at 2:30 p.m. at Magnolia Cemetery. Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tenn., is in charge of arrangements. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.

Mr. Monroe, 59, of Columbia,Tenn., formerly of Meridian, died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2006, at Maury Regional Hospital.

He was a native of Meridian, and was the son of the late Samuel and Minnie Ree Hodges Monroe. He was a cattle farmer and a member of St. Peters Episcopal Church.

Survivors include his wife, Dr. Linda Monroe; sons, Douglas Monroe of Rockvale, Tenn. and Peyton Monroe of Mt. Jackson, Va.; sisters, Billie Knight and Eva Lou Pace, both of Meridian.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials may be to the American Heart Association, Middle Tennessee Region, 209 23rd Ave. North, Nashville, TN 37203.

UNION — Services for Pat Gardner will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at County Line Baptist Church with the Rev. Robyn Risher officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Milling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Gardner, died Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2006, at Hilltop Manor Nursing Home in Union.

Visitation will be today from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Vann, 27, of Coffeeville, died Sunday, Sept. 3, 2006, in Quitman.

Survivors include her mother, Deborah Thornton; a son, Austin Grice; daughters, Whitney Grice and Maradra Grice; three brothers; maternal grandmother and maternal great-grandmother.

Visitation will be today from 6 p.m.-9 p.m.

Marcellus Hampton Sr.



Services for Marcellus Hampton Sr. will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. J.D. White officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Clark’s Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Hampton, 85, of Collinsville, died Thursday, Aug. 31, 2006, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.

Visitation will be today from noon to 6 p.m. at the funeral home and Friday one hour prior to the service at the church.

Services for Jessie Mae Collins will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at New Prospect Baptist Church in Meridian with the Rev. Paul Garrett officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Moriah Church Cemetery in Yantley, Ala. E.E. McDonald Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Collins, 83, of Meridian, died Sunday, Sept. 3, 2006, at Riley Nursing Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband, and two children.

Visitation will be Friday from 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at E.E. McDonald Community Chapel in Meridian.



Willie James Grace



Services for Willie James Grace will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Brown Ridge Baptist Church in DeKalb with the Rev. Bennie Hopkins officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Clark’s Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Grace, 59, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2006, in his home.

Visitation will be Saturday one hour prior to the service at the church.



Harry T. Dear



Services for Harry T. Dear will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Ray Arrington officiating. Burial will be in Elwood Cemetery. Berry and Gardner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Dear, 79, of Quitman, died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2006, at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital in Quitman.

Visitation will be Saturday one hour prior to the services at the church.



Catherine Brewster



Services for Catherine Brewster were held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Greater First Baptist Church in Lisman, Ala., with the Rev. P.L. Patterson officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Clark’s Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Brewster, 70, of Lisman, Ala., died Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2006, at The Specialty Hospital of Meridian.
