Little Star Wegner and Aaron Douglas Wilburn were married on April 22, 2006,at 6 p.m., in a private beach ceremony in Akumal, Mexico with the Rev. Dr. David Craig, close friend of the bridegroom officiating.
Parents of the couple are Don and Debbie Wegner of Quitman and Dr. and Mrs. Doug Wilburn of Columbia, Tenn.
Grandparents of the bride are Mary Helen Kilgore of Quitman and the late Dave Kilgore and Mr. and Mrs. Dave Wegner of Roseville, Calif. She is the great-granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. R.H. Donald Sr. of Quitman.
The bride is a 1999 graduate of the Mississippi School of Math and Science and attended Millsaps College in Jackson and received her bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Southern Mississippi. She is the former Junior Miss of Clarke County and overall state scholastic winner. She is employed with an accounting firm in Fort Collins, Colo.
The bridegroom is the grandson of Margaret Elizabeth Moser of North Carolina and the late William Dexter Moser and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wilburn of Columbia, Tenn. He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee and received a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. He is employed with an engineering consulting firm in Fort Collins, Colo.
The bride was escorted by her father. She wore a strapless A-line gown of cream chiffon with a satin ribbon trim. She wore an elbow-length veil trimmed with matching sating ribbon. She carried a bouquet of red, coral, pink and cream colored roses.
Mary Henley Carney, of Quitman, niece of the bride, was flower girl.
Caleb Aaron Carney, of Quitman, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.
A reception was held immediately following the ceremony at a private villa.
After a honeymoon in Playa Aventura, Mexico, the couple resides in Fort Collins, Colo.
