Craig Ozborn



UNION — Services for Craig Ozborn will be held today at 11 a.m. at Milling Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Johnny Crosby officiating. Burial will be in the Decatur City Cemetery.

Mr. Ozborn, 46, died Tuesday, July 11, 2006, at Laird Hospital in Union.

Survivors include his daughter, Lindsey Ozborn; a son, Lowry Ozborn; his parents, Janell and Kenneth Ozborn; one sister and one brother.

Visitation will be today from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.



Odelle Adams

NEWTON – Services for Odelle Adams will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Clarke-Venable Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Vincent officiating. Burial will be in Decatur City Cemetery. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Adams, 92, of Newton, died Wednesday, July 12, 2006, at Newton Regional Hospital. She was a long time resident of Decatur and a member of Clarke-Venable Baptist Church in Decatur. She was the former owner of Decatur Flower Shop.

Survivors include her nephews, Dr. Denton Goodwin and his wife, Barbara, of Demopolis, Ala. and Harold Goodwin and his wife, Emy, of Pascagoula and a sister, Corliss Ritchie of Pascagoula.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin Denton Adams and Florence Wayne Adams.

Memorials may be made to Clarke-Venable Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Friday one hour prior to the service at the church.



Berta P. Dickerson



Graveside services for Berta P. “Lori” Dickerson will be held Friday at noon at Magnolia Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Malcolm Lewis officiating. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Dickerson, 78, of Meridian, died Sunday, July 9, 2006, in her home.

Survivors include her daughter, Monika L. Schleich and her husband, Ray, of Elk Grove Village, Ill.; grandchildren, Erik R. Johnson of Chesney Park, Ill., Hannah C. Dickerson of Meridian, Krystle A. Schleich and Ryan R. Schleich, both of Elk Grove Village; great-grandchildren, Gabrielle K. Johnson of Chesney Park and Klare DeLay of Germany.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Casey C. Dickerson.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Memorial services for Robert F. “Bob” Scutt will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Patricia Carter officiating.

Mr. Scutt, 71, of Meridian, died Monday, July 10, 2006, in his home. He was a retired manager at IBM Corp. Survivors include his wife, Carole Scutt of Meridian; a daughter, Lisa Sparkman and her husband, Jack, of Marble Falls, Texas; step-daughters, Mary Davis and her husband, Dwain, of Collinsville and Lisa Cockrell and her husband, John, of Phoenix, Ariz.; sisters, Georellen Carruthers and her husband, Jack, of Houston, Texas and Nancy Tillett of Shelbyville, Tenn.; two grandchildren and four step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lori Moore.

YORK, Ala. — Services for Lillian Walker Armstrong will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Siloam Baptist Church. Bumpers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Armstrong, 95, of York, died Wednesday, July 12, 2006, at Sumter Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Survivors include her son, Bobby Armstrong; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one sister and one brother.

She was preceded in death by her son.

Mrs. Overstreet, 79, of Dallas, formerly of Philadelphia, died Friday, July 7, 2006, in Charlton Methodist Hospital in Dallas.

She was preceded in death by her husband and a daughter.

Mrs. Hunt, 50, of Newton, died Monday, July 10, 2006, at University Medical Center in Jackson.
