They miss Scotty Ray Boyd

I am saddened by the news that I will no longer have Scotty Ray and Debbie on for my long drive to Meridian! For years they have kept me company and, for the past year and half, my daughter has come to enjoy listening with me.

They have brought me laughter, tears and have always kept me informed of things. It was Scotty Ray and Debbie who brought me the news of 9/11, it was Scotty Ray’s voice that talked us the through the hurricane, and it was always Scotty Ray who kept us informed of the bad weather that was around us.

They are, in a way, a part of my family as well as others. I am sure that a lot of listeners can agree that they are the “morning team” that everyone wants to hear in the morning when it comes to country music. I have such a hard time listening now; it is as if someone has died! It is sad and depressing, because I don’t have my friends to talk to me on my long ride to Meridian.

I now put a CD in the CD player and listen to my country music. WOKK will never be the same if they don’t bring back the ultimate morning team, Scotty Ray and Debbie. I need them on my ride as do so many others. They are the perfect combo with my coffee. I, we, miss you, Scotty Ray and Debbie, and our hearts are saddened — but know that your supporters will stand by you.
