Keeton picks up Late Model win at Whynot

Lucky Keeton was the winner during Saturday night’s Late Model division race at the Whynot Speedway.

Larry Murphy came in second, followed by Roger Rolison in third, Wiley Williams in fourth and Herman Reynolds in fifth.

Elevens cars started the Late Model race.

Chris Smith came in first in the Open Wheel Modified Division. Scott Dedwylder of Clarke County came in second followed by Jason Hollis in third, Greg Hollingsworth in fourth and Keven Cumber in fifth.

Kyle Rutledge won the Pure Street division race. Donnie Bean came in second followed by Kevin Reeves in third, Johnny Pearson in fourth and Jeremy Bunyard in fifth.

Bill Bunyard won the Mini division, followed by Jeremy Bunyard.

Races will be held Friday night at the Whynot Speedway when the Super Late Models make their debut on to the recently re-opened dirt track. It’s being billed as the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series vs. the top cars from the SUPR series, which is held in Louisiana. Admission will be $15 for adults at the game and $25 for pit passes.
