Mr. and Mrs. Bill Godfrey of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Karah Lynn to John Walter Coker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Clyde Coker of Meridian. Miss Godfrey is also the daughter of the late Sarah Melinda Pharis Godfrey.

The wedding will be held Saturday, June 24, 2006, at 4 p.m. at Highland Baptist Church.

Miss Godfrey is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Louis Pharis Jr. of Meridian and Ervis Dale Godfrey of Richton and the late L.W. Godfrey.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Meridian High School, Meridian Community College and graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in biology from Mississippi College.

Miss Godfrey is employed as a research technician at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

Mr. Coker is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Horace Clinton Walters and Mr. and Mrs. Hiram Jack Coker Sr., all of Meridian.

The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Southeast Lauderdale High School, Meridian Community College and will graduate in May with a bachelor’s degree in clinical laboratory science from the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

Mr. Coker is employed as a medical technologist at The University of Mississippi Medical Center.

A reception will be held in the church fellowship hall following the ceremony.

Family and friends are invited to attend.
