William and Anita Madden of Hazard, Ky., announce the engagement of their daughter, Lyndsay Leigh to Matthew Scott Brashier, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Brashier of Meridian.

The wedding will be held June 24, 2006, at 4:30 p.m. at Pikeville, Ky.

Miss Madden is the granddaughter of the late James Kelly and Nancy Kelly of Hazard, Ky., Charles Billy and Louise Madden of Sassafras, Ky.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Cordia High School and received a degree in biology and psychology from Pikeville College.

Miss Madden currently attends Pikeville College School of Osteopathic Medicine.

Mr. Brashier is the grandson of Emma Lou Brasher and the late Fred W. Brashier of Decatur and the late Robert F. McDonald of Butler, Ala. and the late Annie Lucille McDonald of Forest.

The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Meridian High School and received a bachelor’s of pharmacy degree from the University of Mississippi.

Mr. Brashier is currently attending Pikeville College School of Osteopathic Medicine.

A reception will be held at Landmark-Mark V, Pikeville, Ky., following the ceremony.
