Rick and Alice Johnson of Blytheville, Ark., announce the engagement of their daughter, Natalie Ann, to William Harrison Harris III, son of Bill Harris of Hero and Nancy Gartrell of Ennis, Texas.
The wedding will be held Saturday, May 20, 2006, at 3 p.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Jonesboro, Ark.
Miss Johnson is the granddaughter of the late Fred and Betty Johnson of Helena, Ark., and the late A.S. and Josephine Kelly of Helena.
The bride-elect is a 2001 salutatorian graduate of Gosnell High School in Gosnell, Ark. She received an associate’s degree from Arkansas Northeastern College in Blytheville in 2003 and a bachelor’s degree in marketing and management from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro in 2005.
While attending Arkansas Northeastern College, she was chosen to represent the college as an ambassador to Japan.
Miss Johnson is employed as marketing director and office manager with Joey Glaub Fine Art Portraits in Bono, Ark.
Mr. Harris is the grandson of Tennie Mae Godwin and Mr. and Mrs. George Gartrell, all of Meridian.
The bridegroom-elect is a 2001 graduate of Gosnell High School and received an associate’s degree from Arkansas Northeastern College in Blytheville. He received a bachelor’s degree in animal science from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro in 2005.
While a senior in high school, Mr. Harris was chosen to play for the Arkansas football team in the DownUnder Bowl in Australia, where the team brought home the championship title.
Mr. Harris is currently a partner in Ridgeland Construction Inc., of Jonesboro.
