Mr. and Mrs. William Paul Johnson of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Susanna Jaqua to William Albin Bruwer of Atlanta, son of Charlene Wells Hix and William Albin Bruwer Jr.

The wedding will be held Saturday, April 1, 2006, at 5 p.m. at Five J. Farm in Meridian.

Miss Johnson is the granddaughter of Eleanor Johnson and the late E.P. Johnson and James Wesley Harvey and the late Thellis Harvey and Lorraine Jaqua and the late Francis Palmer Jaqua.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Meridian High School and the University of Alabama. She received her master’s degree from Mercer University in Atlanta. She is nationally board certified in early childhood education.

Miss Johnson is employed as an elementary teacher in Atlanta.

Mr. Bruwer is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Arthur Wells and Althea Sigethy and the late William Albin Bruwer Sr.

The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Dunwoody High School in Atlanta and Georgia State University.

He served four years in the U.S. Navy.

Mr. Bruwer is an advertising sales executive with Journalistic, Inc., in Raleigh, N.C.

A reception will be held at Five J. Farm following the ceremony.
