A Philadelphia businessman has been found after mysteriously disappearing nearly a week ago.

Philadelphia Police Chief Richard Sistrunk said Phillip Wayne Dunaway, co-owner of a communications service, was reported found Sunday at a hospital in West Point after having disappeared last Tuesday. However, Sistrunk said he was unsure if Dunaway was injured or if he had been released from the hospital.

“We received a call from the secretary at his business on Thursday saying that he was last seen on Tuesday,” Sistrunk said. “Apparently he had left for work one morning and just didn’t return that night, which was very out of character for him.”

Sistrunk said Dunaway’s rental vehicle was found in Meridian on Monday.
