Radio show is just a memory for now

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who listened to my Saturday morning program, “Rock, Roll and Remember,” on WYLS (670 AM) for the nine months that it was on the air.
I thoroughly enjoyed bringing you the hits of the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s, as well as some of the lesser-known songs of the era. Even though I’m only 24 years old, this is “my kind of music.”
One thing is for sure: They don’t make music (or radio stations) like that any more. As many people know by now, most of my co-workers and I were told that our “services were no longer needed” by General Manager Wayne Grant on Dec. 31. So, reluctantly, I boxed up my music collection and moved on out.
Thanks again for listening, and who knows? Maybe some day, somewhere on the dial, we’ll get to “Rock, Roll and Remember” again.
