Aspiring actors rehearse technique as part of their participation in DramaQuest, the only such class in the state designed especially for elementary age creatively gifted students. The class is in its first year at Poplar Springs Elementary School. In an effort to bring more artists into classrooms, a workshop presented by Mississippi Alliance for Arts Education is being held Saturday for artists to learn how to help teach children in kindergarten through 12th grade. The workshop will be held from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. at Union Station. Registration for the day of the workshop is $65. For more information call (601) 268-6996.
