MERIDIAN —
Bill and Kaye Abel of Glencoe, Ala., announce the marriage of their daughter, Megan, to Kirby Martin, son of Jimmie Martin of Wayne County and Toni Martin or Meridian.
A private ceremony was held Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012. A reception will be held on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, at Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Family and friends are invited to attend.
Ms. Abel is the granddaughter of Lucile Abel of Gadsden, Ala., and the late Bill Abel Sr., and the late A.B. and Sue Hames.
The bride received a bachelor of science degree in occupational therapy from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is a graduate of Glencoe High School.
Ms. Abel is employed by Lauderdale County School District.
Mr. Martin is the grandson of the late Woodrow and Thelma Moffett, and the late Norlbert and Lossie Martin.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Meridian Community College and Clarkdale High School.
Mr. Martin is employed by Lockheed Martin.
