    Katie Mishelle Thornton and Brent Ponds Gough, both of Bailey, were married Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011, at Highland Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Carl White and the Revs. Dano Rainer and. Ben Buckley officiating.

    Parents of the couple are Jason and Mishelle Odom of Bailey, Tim Thornton of Meridian and Barry and Renee’ Gough of Collinsville.

    Grandparents of the bride are Carolyn Hudson and the late Darrell Hudson of Philadelphia, James and Peggy Thornton of Bailey and Sharon and Sammy Talbert of Bailey.

    Grandparents of the bridegroom are Mary Hope and Raymond Crawford of Meridian, Jessie Robinson of Collinsville and Roland Gough and the late Erma Jean Gough of Meridian.

    Music for the ceremony was provided by Greer Goldman, pianist/organist; and Lauren Barnacastle and Elliott Brewer, vocalists.

    The bride was given in marriage by Jason Odom, step-father of the bride. She wore a couture gown of lace and floral motifs. The slim A-line gown featured elaborate floral motifs decorating an exquisite tulle lace overlay. The back featured a signature corset closure.    She carried a bouquet of white roses, white ranunculses, white peonies, and green roses hand tied with satin ribbon.

    Maid of honor was Brittany Uhl of Meridian.

    Other attendants were Keli Gough of Jackson; Drew Gough and Kaitlyn McDaniel, both of Collinsville; and Vanessa Uhl, Heather Berrey and Lynnzie Warren, all of Meridian.

    Marley Lovett and Maggie Todd, both of Meridian, were flower girls.

    The father of the bridegroom served as best man.

    Groomsmen and ushers were B.J. Gough, Paxton Pace and Tyler Vick, all of Collinsville; Joshua Odom and Sam Odom, both of Bailey; Jonathan Catchot and Clay Brown, both of Moss Point; and Drew Snider and Matthew Thomas, both of Meridian.

    A reception was held at Briarwood Country Club following the ceremony. Guests were entertained by Frank Polizzi, disc jockey.

    Assisting at the reception were Lisa Matthews, Midge Bagwell, Margaret Carter and Denita Roberts. 

    After a honeymoon cruising the Western Caribbean, the couple resides in Bailey, where the bride is employed with Sharon Talbert CPA and the bridegroom is employed with Appraise All LLC.
